WARRANTY

1. Warranty Period

SOREN Watches provides a standard warranty of two (2) years on all its watches from the date of purchase. Members of the SOREN Circle receive an additional two (2) years, for four (4) years in total. The warranty is only valid if the date of purchase and the order or serial number correspond with our records.

2. Extended Warranty for SOREN Circle Members

Joining the SOREN Circle grants the right to two additional years of warranty. This right is valid for 14 days after sign-up. If you buy a SOREN watch within those 14 days, the four-year warranty applies. If you sign up but purchase later, the extended coverage lapses. The full warranty, standard plus extension, begins on the watch's date of purchase. The extended coverage carries the same terms as the standard warranty, only the period is longer. The warranty applies solely to the original buyer and is not transferable.

3. What Is Covered

The warranty covers manufacturing defects in the watch, including defects in the movement, errors in assembly or construction, and components that fail without any external cause. If a covered defect occurs within the warranty period, SOREN Watches will repair the watch free of charge or replace it with an equivalent model. The choice between repair and replacement rests with SOREN Watches.

4. What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear and ageing of components such as the strap and glass;
  • damage from improper or unintended use, accidents, drops or impacts;
  • damage from shocks, knocks or vibrations, including during high-impact and contact sports such as boxing, golf, tennis and hockey. If you are unsure whether your activity qualifies, email us;
  • water damage outside the covered cases in article 5;
  • damage from exposure to extreme heat or cold;
  • damage from unauthorised repair or modification. A watch opened, modified or repaired by anyone other than a technician approved by SOREN Watches automatically voids its warranty;
  • wear to finishing, such as the logo on the clasp, from daily use;
  • loss or theft.

5. Water

Our watches are water resistant to 100 metres (Momentis) or 300 metres (Oceanic). Water damage is covered as long as you stay within your model's rating and the crown is fully screwed down. Always make sure the crown is closed before the watch comes into contact with water. Water damage caused by an open crown, by exceeding the stated water resistance, or by improper use is not covered. We advise against wearing the watch during large temperature swings or in extreme heat or cold, as this can damage the movement.

6. Proof of Purchase

To claim the warranty, the buyer must present valid proof of purchase, such as an invoice, order confirmation or valid warranty card.

7. Warranty Procedure

To submit a claim, contact our customer service at support@sorenwatches.com. Include your model, serial number and a brief description of the issue. After assessment, you will receive instructions for sending the watch to our service centre. If the defect is covered, SOREN Watches bears the shipping costs. If the defect is not covered, the shipping costs are borne by the buyer.

8. Statutory Rights

This commercial warranty does not affect the statutory consumer rights in the Netherlands and the European Union. Customers always retain their legal rights regarding non-conformity and product quality.
