About our privacy policy
Soren Watches takes your privacy seriously. We only process data that is necessary for (improving) our services and handle the information we collect about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided through it by Soren Watches. The effective date of these terms is 15/05/2026. Publication of a new version renders all previous versions void. This privacy policy describes what data we collect about you, what this data is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us.

About data processing
Below you can read how we process your data, where we store (or have stored) this data, what security measures we use, and who has access to the data.
Webshop software
Shopify
Our webshop is built using software from Shopify. Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of our services is shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Shopify is required, based on the agreement we have with them, to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Shopify is a certified processor of credit card data. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected or stored. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within its own group of companies to further improve its services. Shopify complies with applicable legal retention periods for (personal) data. The EU/US Privacy Shield applies; your data may be processed in the United States.
Email and mailing lists
Klaviyo
Our website uses Klaviyo, a third party that handles email traffic from our website and the sending of any newsletters. All confirmation emails you receive from our website and web forms are sent via Klaviyo’s servers. Klaviyo will never use your name and email address for its own purposes.
At the bottom of every email sent automatically via our website, you will find an “unsubscribe” link. If you click this, you will no longer receive email from our website. This may seriously reduce the functionality of our website. Your personal data is stored securely by Klaviyo. Klaviyo uses cookies and other internet technologies to track whether emails are opened and read. Klaviyo reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share information with third parties in that context.
iCloud
We use iCloud services for our regular business email traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. iCloud does not have access to our mailbox and we treat all our email traffic as confidential.
Payment processors
Mollie
We use the Mollie platform to process (part of) the payments in our webshop. Mollie processes your name, address, city of residence and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share (anonymised) data with third parties in that context. All safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie’s services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than permitted by applicable legal retention periods.
Klarna
We use the Klarna platform to process (part of) the payments in our webshop. Klarna processes your name, address, city of residence and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Reviews
Trustpilot
We collect reviews via the Trustpilot platform. If you leave a review via Trustpilot, you are required to provide your name and email address. Trustpilot shares this data with us so that we can link the review to your order. In some cases, Trustpilot may contact you to request clarification on your review. When we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with Trustpilot. They use this data solely for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. Trustpilot has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Trustpilot reserves the right to engage third parties for the purpose of delivering its services; we have given Trustpilot permission to do so. All safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of the services for which Trustpilot engages third parties.
Shipping and logistics
PostNL
When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to have your package delivered to you. We use PostNL’s services to carry out deliveries. For this purpose, it is necessary to share your name, address and city of residence with PostNL. PostNL uses this data solely for the purpose of fulfilling the agreement. In the event that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.
DHL
When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to have your package delivered to you. We use DHL’s services to carry out deliveries. For this purpose, it is necessary to share your name, address and city of residence with DHL. DHL uses this data solely for the purpose of fulfilling the agreement. In the event that DHL engages subcontractors, DHL will also make your data available to these parties.
Invoicing and accounting
Invoicing takes place via Shopify and for maintaining our administration and accounting we use the services of our accounting firm. We share your name, address, city of residence and details regarding your order. This data is used for the administration of sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored securely. Our accounting firm is bound by confidentiality and will treat your data as confidential. They will not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.
Purpose of data processing
General purpose of processing
We use your data exclusively for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time other than at your request, we will ask for your explicit consent.
Your data is not shared with third parties other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound by confidentiality based on the agreement between them and us, or by oath or legal obligation.
Automatically collected data
Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our services. This data (for example your IP address, web browser and operating system) does not constitute personal data.
Cooperation with fiscal and criminal investigations
In certain cases, SOREN Watches may be required by law to share your data in connection with fiscal or criminal investigations by government authorities. In such a case, we are compelled to share your data, but we will resist this within the possibilities the law affords us.
Retention periods
We retain your data for as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we keep your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you inform us of this, we will also treat it as a request to be forgotten. This also means that we will not retain your data for longer than two years from the last point of contact or transaction, unless there is a legal basis for doing so.
Due to applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data; we will therefore retain this data for the duration of the applicable period. However, employees will no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced as a result of your assignment.
Your rights
Under applicable Dutch and European legislation, as a data subject you have certain rights with respect to the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. We explain below what these rights are and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies of your data to the email address already known to us. In the event that you wish to receive the data at a different email address or by post, for example, we will ask you to identify yourself. We maintain a record of completed requests; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we record anonymised data. All copies of data will be provided in the machine-readable data format used within our systems. You have the right at all times to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you suspect that we are using your personal data in an improper manner.
Right of access
You always have the right to access the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you or is traceable to you. You can submit such a request to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the email address known to us, along with an overview of the processors that hold this data, specifying the category under which we have stored the data.
Right to rectification
You always have the right to have data that we process (or have processed) that relates to you or is traceable to you corrected. You can submit such a request to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data has been corrected.
Right to restriction of processing
You always have the right to restrict the data that we process (or have processed) that relates to you or is traceable to you. You can submit such a request to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to data portability
You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) that relates to you or is traceable to you transferred to another party. You can submit such a request to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies of all data about you that we have processed, or that has been processed by other processors or third parties on our behalf, to the email address known to us. In all likelihood, we will no longer be able to continue providing our services in such a case, as the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.
Right to object and other rights
In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of SOREN Watches. If you object, we will immediately cease data processing pending the resolution of your objection. If your objection is justified, we will provide you with copies of the data that we process (or have processed) and permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in a manner that would make this right applicable. If you believe otherwise, please contact our privacy officer.
Cookies
Google Analytics
Cookies are placed on our website by the American company Google as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to track and receive reports on how visitors use the website. This processor may be required by applicable laws and regulations to provide access to this data. We have not permitted Google to use the analytics information obtained for other Google services.

Changes to the privacy policy
We reserve the right to modify our privacy policy at any time. However, you will always find the most recent version on this page. If the new privacy policy affects the way we process data already collected about you, we will notify you by email.
